Greetings from your Arts and Sciences department!
Some of our activities will vary by the day, and some will be going on all weekend.
RUM is scheduled for Friday, May 24, and all A&S classes will be scheduled through RUM.
The Kingdom A&S Faire will be Saturday, May 25, and will take up most of the indoor venue. Additional A&S classes and demonstrations will be scheduled in the enclosed outdoor Pavilion.
The Crown Tournament is Sunday, May 26, and we will have a few classes and activities going on as well.
Please see sign up below to teach classes and run activities.
There will be A&S Displays hosted during the day in the North Hall, Friday through Sunday. So far we have the Middle Kingdom Textile Artisans Guild’s Largesse 50 display, a book display, a Heraldic display, and Youth displays planned. Any suggestions for other displays may be submitted to Meestres Eva vanOldebroek at MK50AS[at]midrealm[dot]org.
The Artisans’ Village will be near the tavern on the north end of the event site. This will host messy or loud A&S demonstrations and will be going on Friday-Sunday. We are planning a cooking tent, leather working, glass working, and textile arts. If you have a suggestion or would like to participate in one of the demonstrations, please contact Meestres Eva at MK50AS[at]midrealm[dot]org .
The outdoor pavilion will be hosting large static displays and demonstrations. There will be limited class space there are well. If you have a one-day demo that does not fit in the Artisans’ Village or a large display that cannot be broken down each night, please contact Meestres Eva at MK50AS[at]midrealm[dot]org, and we can arrange a space for you.
Finally, we will need a few people to volunteer for A&S Point. This is where participants can ask questions about the A&S activities, get directions, and see the changes to the daily schedule. There will be a sign-up available shortly for two-hour shifts Friday-Sunday.
